Dawn over at Because I Said So! just posted a really funny post about Halloween Costumes. Funny because I can totally relate. I remember the boxed costumes of the 70's although I only had a store bought costume once. All other halloweens, I had my costumes lovingly handdmade by Mima (grandma). Each was original & guaranteed to be te only one like it. The one time that I did have a store bought plastic costume was one time when I wanted to "be like everyone else" and have a msk to stick my tongue out of! Who would have thunk that i wouuld ever want to be like everyone else!

You crafty mothers are great. I can't ever remember my mom making me a costume. Don't get me wrong - she was (is) a great Mom, but I think every year I went as a hobo - it was quick and easy.

OMG! I totally forgot about those boxed costumes. They had the see-thru on front of the box so you could see the plastic masks with the elastic that went around your head. Too funny!
