Class of 2007

Well, Kat is officially a High School Graduate! She graduated Cum Laude with a Superintendent's Diploma of Distinction. We are ver proud of her!

The ceremony itself was as predicted. A zoo. Making matters worse was the weather. Torential rain & wind. The location where the ceremony was being held was horrid. We were not able to drive up to the front to be dropped off. We had to park 2 blocks away, and WALK in the pouring rain! Hair & make up on everyone was ruined. Our feet were muddy. We all looked like drowned rats! And we had umbrellas, imagine if we didn't!

They ask that you hold your applause an yelling till the last name is called. As a courtesy to other parents, that may not be able hear their child's name over the yelling. That doesn't stop anyone. There was yelling, hollering, stomping and even air horns. I did hear her name and actually was able to see her walk up to receive her diploma, so I was happy.

Congratulations to Kat! I know what you mean about people "holding their applause." Every graduation I've been to they've asked, and it's never worked. Well, I think at my college graduation it did, but not high school!

Congrats! What an achievement for everyone involved. That sounds like Oregon weather, not Florida.

Congratulations to the graduate! Sorry to hear about the horrible weather though. Too bad the rain couldn't hold off for you guys!

Wow! Can you believe it?! Congrats to you and your girl.

Too bad the Miami weather decided grad day was a good day for a rainstorm.

I think my boy is supposed to be class of 2025 or something!
